About 3D

The separate 3D sandbox is a generic concept model, not an accurate Tesla UV preview. Use this official template for export; check the final placement in Tesla Paint Shop.

YOUR ACTUAL VEHICLE

See it on your own car.

Import front, rear and both side photos. Align panel overlays or copy a photographed area into your digital wrap. Manual photo matching, not exact 3D reconstruction.

Photos stay in this tab. Mockup downloads are separate from Tesla Paint Shop PNGs.

DESIGNED FOR YOUR SPACE

Take your design into Quest.

Edit in the headset browser, then inspect the flat Tesla texture on a large virtual studio board. Upload pictures before entering immersive VR; exit to download the PNG.

Store installation requires a developer-signed Meta package. This preview is not a Horizon Store listing.

FROM YOUR DESIGN TO YOUR TESLA

Three steps. One new look.

  1. Choose the exact template.

Match the model, body year and trim. Export your design as a PNG. This app preserves template dimensions and checks the file is no larger than 1 MB.

  2. Send through the Tesla app.

In Tesla app version 4.59.0 or later, open Creations → Wrap → Upload and choose your exported PNG. Feature availability depends on your vehicle and installed software.

  3. Apply in your car.

Open Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps. Preview your artwork, especially lettering orientation, panel seams and cropping, before applying.

Prefer a USB drive?

Create a folder named Wraps at the root of an exFAT, FAT32 / MS-DOS FAT, ext3 or ext4 drive. Copy the PNG into it and connect it to the car. NTFS is unsupported; avoid drives containing map or firmware updates.

Tesla allows up to 10 wraps from the mobile app and up to 10 from USB. These are static PNGs for your car's onscreen visualization, not physical wraps or animations.

WRAPLAB / SPATIAL STUDIO

Your canvas, in your space.

A spatial preview of the exact flat texture, not a model-specific Tesla car. Point and trigger to use the controls in VR; click them in the desktop preview.

Trigger: grab a photo or press a button. Left stick: move. Right stick: resize vertically, rotate horizontally. Grip: fine adjustment. A: rotate 180°. B: recenter. X: next photo. Y: center photo. Controller mode; hand tracking is not implemented.

Headset testing is required before Store submission.

Photos stay in this tab. Uploads and final PNG downloads use the regular editor. On Quest, use the browser’s Files picker and Downloads folder.

FOUR VIEWS / YOUR VEHICLE

Match your own car.

Upload straight-on photos of the same vehicle. Add one overlay per visible body panel, then drag its four corners into place. This is a manual photo mockup, not an exact 3D replica or automatic UV match.

0 of 4 photos · 0 KB / 4 MB reference budget

Automatic local JPEG optimization: at most 900 KB per view, so all four stay below 4 MB combined. This measures compressed reference files, not browser memory or mobile data. These photos are not uploaded and do not count toward the separate 1 MB Tesla PNG limit.

Choose a view, then upload its photo. No sample car is substituted for your vehicle.

Drag the numbered corners clockwise: 1 top-left, 2 top-right, 3 bottom-right, 4 bottom-left. Drag inside to move the whole patch. For keyboard alignment, focus the canvas, use Tab to cycle corners and arrow keys to move; Shift makes larger steps.

Applies to the next import. All settings enforce the same 900 KB per-photo cap.

Stand directly in front of the vehicle. Include the hood, bumper and both headlights.

PNG, JPG or WebP · source up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels. Larger originals need a resized JPEG copy first; HEIC/HEIF needs conversion to JPEG. Avoid plates and people if sharing mockups. Compression is lossy; keep your originals.

License-plate privacy

Local automatic suggestions run on import. Experimental edge/shape detection can miss plates or cover other details. Solid masks are included in exports; inspect every photo.

Import a photo to check for plates.

Select a mask, then drag its center to move it or its bottom-right handle to resize. With canvas focus, arrows move it; Alt + arrows resize, Shift makes larger steps. In drawing mode, drag a box around the whole plate with extra padding.

Review is required before reference download, mockup export or photo-to-wrap copying. Changes require another review. Linked photo-to-wrap layers refresh when the photo or its plate masks change. Files you already downloaded cannot be changed.

Regions use the template's numbered islands, not automatic hood or door names. Match them visually in the main editor and check orientation in Paint Shop.

75%

Copies the plate-masked photo inside the four corners, not the preview overlay. Perspective is flattened approximately; shadows, windows and reflections are baked in. Adds an editable layer to the selected Tesla region.

A visual comparison only. Do not upload this photo mockup as a Tesla wrap. Use Export Tesla PNG in the main editor.

Each vehicle template keeps separate photo views for this visit. Refreshing or closing loses these references.
